Title: Muslim Philosophers and Cognitive Aspects of Poetry
Abstract: Knowledge is an issue that was born with the human. From ancient times, man is trying to recognize himself and the world and find his relationship with it. The issue of what cognition is and what are the cognitive tools will come along with this concern. Since the compilation of philosophical ideas, this problem has been followed up and discussed. Among the issues that arise from epistemology on the one hand and art, on the other hand, is the cognition of the poem and its relation to the truth. In the intellectual tradition of Muslims, the proof is the only way of knowing and all the other ways are far from the truth. As a result, poetry, which is a non-proof method, does not find cognitive qualities and it only its Motivational aspect has been emphasized. This thesis examines the issue of the truth of the poem in the light of the opinions of Muslim philosophers. So, at first, we will answers the question “What is poetry?” and continue on to whether there is a relation between poetry and truth? Finally, we determine which factor turns the poem into a tool for the discovery of the truth?
The research method is based on the proposed questions, analysis, description and explanation. The first two questions are answered on the basis of the analysis and description of the views of philosophers and literary critics and the third question is based on the data obtained in response to the first and second questions. The result of the research is that:
- Poetry is imaginary.
- The relation of poetry to the truth is of the kind of mimes, which is itself a limited and conditional sort of knowledge.
- Mimesis is the cause that poetry discovers the truth.

Title: A Review of the Disadvantages of Beauties and Adornments (With an Emphasis on Sensual Adornments)
Abstract: Sensual and intellectual beauty and adornment appeal to the human being. In addition, both have disadvantages that are highlighted in holy texts. Reviewing Quran verses and hadiths, our object is to reveal the disadvantages of intellectual beauty and how Satan takes advantage of this natural desire and tendency. The purpose of sensual beauties and adornment around us, as one of God’s blesses, is to lift our soul toward moral elevation and God. However, the reason for the warning about such beauties and adornments is that they restrict man and are used as a means of enhancing worldly desires. The disadvantages are as following: ignorance of God, to confine human to bodily pleasures as contrasted with intellectual satisfaction, to be simply deceived, egotism, to commit sins, and misguidance.
